The 6 November launch of the National Park City concept for Wales was a phenomenal success, not least because of the amazing contribution of London National Park City’s Dan Raven-Ellison.

The event started with an hour-long description of the process of evolution of the London National Park City, followed by a Q&A session where Dan was joined by Fran Rolfe (Natural Resources Wales) and Dai Llewellyn (Blaengad).

The next session saw the group of 30+ people split into the geographic areas of Swansea, the Valleys and Cardiff, to think about the next concrete steps for developing National Park Cities across Wales.

  • If you’re interested in supporting the development of National Park City Swansea, please contact Fran Rolfe
  • If you’re interested in supporting the development of National Park City Cardiff, please contact Ellen Rose-Jones
  • If you’re interested in supporting the development of a Valleys Urban Regional Park, please contact David Clubb who will provide the relevant contact details

If you’d like to see other cities or towns in Wales take on the National City/Urban Park concept, please contact David Clubb who will try to help point you in the right direction.
